Tom Brady and Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel's relationship only became public last weekend. The two have reportedly been seeing each other since June and have kept a low profile in Miami, where they both live.

However, his rumoured romance with Candice Swanepoel has reportedly ignited a bitter feud with fellow VS model and longtime friend, Joan Smalls, reports Page Six. The two have been friends for almost 15 years. Tom Brady and Joan Smalls have had a fallout after Swanepoel allegedly became involved with Brady, whom Smalls reportedly dated on and off for about a year. According to the report, Joan Smalls is so angry with Candice Swanepoel that she has given their mutual friends an ultimatum: you’re either friends with her, or friends with me.

Joan Smalls called Candice Swanepoel a 'backstabber'

Joan Smalls took a swipe at Candice Swanepoel in a now-deleted social media post, referring to her as a "backstabber" and accusing her of violating "girl code." "And the disrespect and carelessness in how they treat you is so unimaginable. There’s no going back. Some people lack humility and moral compass," she reportedly wrote. "And the way they gaslight, lie and minimize your feelings is the worst slap in the face after 15yrs of friendship. Not a sorry said or written. Onwards and upwards!!!"

In a statement to Page Six, Swanepoel's representative said: "Candice has always been exceptionally private about her personal life, with her focus remaining on raising her children. She and Joan share a longstanding history and a friendship that Candice will always respect."

Brady's high-profile relationships after Gisele Bündchen divorce

The reported romance with Candice Swanepoel marks the latest relationship linked to Tom Brady since his divorce from supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Brady also has a son, Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan. Since his split from Bündchen, Brady has been romantically linked to several high-profile women. Among them was Russian model Irina Shayk, with whom he was photographed in Los Angeles in 2023.

In 2025, Brady was also linked to Modern Family star Sofia Vergara after the two were reportedly spotted spending time together on a luxury yacht in Ibiza. A source described their connection as a "summer romance," according to Page Six.

Earlier this year, Brady was spotted with social media personality Alix Earle during a New Year's Eve celebration in St. Barts. Video footage obtained by TMZ showed Earle whispering into the former NFL quarterback's ear and placing her hand on his back.
