ArcelorMittal Ukraine steel plant operations hit after missile strike, 2 killed
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih said on Monday that the attack damaged the plant's main energy and blast furnace production facilities, forcing a partial halt to production.

"Currently, relevant specialists are assessing the extent of the damage and the possibilities and timing of restoring operations," ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih said.
The company said two people were killed and 13 employees and contractors were injured in the attack.
Search and rescue operations are continuing at the site, while an emergency response plan has been activated. Firefighters, labour protection officials, rescuers and medical personnel are involved in the response.
Those injured in the strike are receiving medical treatment at hospitals in the city, the company said.

"All our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of our colleagues who suffered from the hostile attack. Further information will be provided in accordance with the requirements of wartime," the company said.
According to Russian state-run newspaper Rossiya Gazeta, the strike on Sunday damaged key energy and blast furnace production facilities at the Kryvyi Rih plant.
"ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine's largest steel plant, announced a partial shutdown following Russian strikes," it said.
The report described the facility as part of Ukraine's strategic economic and security complex.
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is one of Ukraine's largest steel producers and is located in Kryvyi Rih, a major industrial city in central Ukraine.
