'Almost like a constitution': Trump & tech giants sign ‘morally binding' AI pact on safety measures

President Donald Trump says he and top AI executives have agreed to a voluntary accord focused on internal and external reviews of artificial intelligence. Speaking after a White House meeting with leaders including Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Sundar Pichai, Mark Zuckerberg, Satya Nadella, Dario Amodei and Greg Brockman, Trump backed industry self-regulation while rejecting calls for new AI-specific restrictions. Trump also addressed AI safety, data centres, U.S.-China competition and America’s push to lead the global AI race.
