After slamming Trump’s DC move, Dem governor of New Mexico declares emergency in crime-ridden county

Just two days after President Donald Trump took control of Washington D.C.’s police force to crack down on violent crime… another Democrat-run city is declaring a public safety emergency. New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has declared a state of emergency in Rio Arriba County — one of the most crime-ridden areas in the nation, and a hotspot for fentanyl overdoses. The sweeping declaration covers communities from Española to the Colorado state line, including two Native American Pueblos. Local leaders say drug trafficking, violent crime, and homelessness have spiralled out of control… overwhelming police resources.
