Actress Selma Blair arrested after incident aboard Delta Air Lines flight; here's what happened
Actress Selma Blair was apprehended during a Delta Air Lines flight incident, facing two assault charges for allegedly attacking flight crew and kicking law enforcement officers. Her attorney asserts that the actions were unintentional, tied to he...

According to CNN, Blair allegedly bit one attendant and caused lacerations to another. The actress then kicked a police officer while she was securing Blair to a stretcher, reported Sky News. "Blair pulled a leg from the straps and kicked her repeatedly around the face, neck and chest, causing serious pain and substantial swelling," the report claimed. Blair even kicked a nurse in the chest, causing "substantial" pain.
Meanwhile, Blair's attorney told the cour that the assualt wasn't intentional. The attorney told the court that the actress had taken the flight after working extensive hours on set and during the flight she reportedly fell and hit her head on the plane which led her to miss crucial medication. Blair's lawyer also claimed that she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which affects her central nervous system, and also has symptoms consistent with Parkinsonism.
Blair had previously also embroiled in controversies over her behaviour on a commercial flight. In 2016, she had been removed from a flight due to unruly behavior and described the incident as a “big mistake,” attributing it to combining alcohol with her medication.
The actress’s ongoing health struggles have been a focal point of her public persona. In her memoir, “Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up,” published in 2022, Blair discusses dealing with multiple sclerosis and the impact it has had on her life and work. Speaking to CNBC earlier this year, she highlighted the positive response from the public to her openness about her illness. "I started to feel a responsibility, the joy visibility could give other people," she said.
