The quake was also felt in Kathmandu valley. At least 407 aftershocks of 4 or more magnitude have been recorded in Nepal after the devastating earthquake of April 25 that killed nearly 9,000 people.
However, there was no immediate report of any damage caused by the earthquake.
A 4.3 magnitude earthquake was felt in Rasuwa district on Tuesday, 150 km north of Kathmandu.
Meanwhile, humanitarian agencies have expressed concern that they were unable to deliver aid to earthquake victims, mainly in the Himalayan region, due to the blockade of Nepal-India border for the last 50 days.
