In the 2026 US midterm elections, more than 58.5 million pre-election ballots have been cast, which has already surpassed the total recorded in 2022, according to data compiled by CNN, the Associated Press and Catalist.

As per the data, which covers 47 states and the District of Columbia, more than 1 million additional pre-election ballots have been cast compared with the 2022 midterms.

The figure is not final, however, as data from several states is limited or unavailable.
