KARACHI: At least 10 people, including three women and four children, were charred to death when a fire engulfed huts in a southern Pakistani fishing village after a diesel tank accidentally got spilt.

The fire broke out in the morning in Keti Bandar area in Thatta in the southern Sindh province and engulfed several makeshift houses.

A tank full of diesel got spilt accidentally and sparked a fire, Dunya News reported.

Three women and four children were among the 10 killed, police said, adding that several others received serious burns.

The injured were shifted to a Karachi hospital for treatment.
