Wipro Arabia bags over 100mn USD outsourcing contract
Saudi Arabian Airlines has signed a five-year agreement outsourcing contract valued at over 100 million USD for IT infrastructure transformation with Wipro Arabia Ltd, a Joint Venture between Wipro Limited and Dar Al Riyadh Group.

BANGALORE: Saudi Arabian Airlines has signed a five-year agreement outsourcing contract valued at over 100 million USD for IT infrastructure transformation with Wipro Arabia Ltd, a Joint Venture between Wipro Limited and Dar Al Riyadh Group.
The agreement was signed at a function on Monday, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
As part of its privatisation programme, Saudi Arabian Airlines has undertaken an extensive business transformation exercise, aimed at becoming innovative, agile and customer- centric.
To enable the airlines achieve its vision, Wipro Arabia will deliver futuristic, scalable and efficient managed infrastructure platform based on industry standards and best of technology.
The scope for Wipro Arabia includes data centre consolidation and management, integration and management of a highly secure converged network and comprehensive enterprise wide managed infrastructure and security services.
"We will extensively leverage Wipro's innovations in technology lifecyle management and service delivery to create an agile and empowered organisation", said H E Khalid Almolhhem, Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines.
"Wipro will combine its service delivery excellence and deep technology expertise to provide a seamless experience for the customers of Saudi airlines", said Suresh Vaswani, President-Wipro Infotech and Global IT Practices.
