Vegetables from Kerala to cost more in the Gulf
Wholesalers and retailers of vegetables in the Gulf have agreed to pay more to the farm product exported to the country from Kerala.

DUBAI: Wholesalers and retailers of vegetables in the Gulf have agreed to pay more to the farm product exported to the country from Kerala.
Kerala, which exports around 85 tons of vegetables to the Gulf everday, had raised the price following dollar's plunge in the international financial markets last week.
The decision was taken by the Agricultural Products and Processed Food Exporters in Kerala which had stopped exporting vegetables.
Though incurring losses, exporters in Kerala said they would resume exports only if the buyers agreed to pay a higher price for their products.
The wholesalers and retailers said they were optimistic that exports of vegetables and fruits would resume after they agreed today to increase the price by 12 cents per kg.
