The world lost a brave soul on September 22, 2025, as Zuza Beine, the beloved 14-year-old social media influencer, passed away following an extraordinary 11-year battle with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Known for her candid online presence and unyielding spirit, Zuza documented her journey with cancer openly on Instagram and TikTok, amassing more than 3.5 million followers who were inspired by her resilience and authenticity.

Zuza was diagnosed with AML at just 3½ years old. Over the years, she underwent three bone marrow transplants and multiple rounds of chemotherapy, courageously facing relapses and participating in several medical trials for new treatments—though sadly, none proved successful in the long term.

Despite her harsh reality, Zuza lived “more fully and appreciatively than most,” according to a heartfelt statement from her family shared on Instagram. “Her being changed us forever, and her dying will too,” the family said, highlighting the impact of her bravery and positivity.

Just days before her passing, Zuza posted a touching video emphasizing gratitude for the small things often overlooked, like tasting delicious food and experimenting with different hairstyles—moments of normal teenage joy amidst adversity. She had recently shared candid insights about the pain and physical challenges she endured while continuously striving to maintain hope and connectivity with her followers.

Zuza was also a member of Glow House, a creative collective for young influencers and content creators, where she found friendship and a platform to share her story. Her openness about her illness helped raise awareness around childhood cancer and gave strength to many others facing similar battles.

The overwhelming outpouring of love and condolences on social media reflects the tremendous impact Zuza had on her community and fans worldwide. Many remembered her as a beacon of courage, vulnerability, and joy.
