Zoë Kravitz nearly loses mom’s pet snake in Taylor Swift’s home; Here’s how Swift reacted
Zoë Kravitz shared a story. It happened when she and her mother, Lisa Bonet, stayed at Taylor Swift's place. They were escaping Los Angeles wildfires. Bonet brought her snake, Orpheus. The snake found a hole in Swift's bathroom. Kravitz and Bonet ...

Kravitz and Bonet were staying at Swift’s house after evacuating their homes due to the Los Angeles wildfires in January. Kravitz said her mother brought along her pet snake, Orpheus.
The species of Orpheus, Lisa Bonet’s pet snake, is not publicly known, but Zoë Kravitz described it as strong and muscular.
“She was kind enough to let me stay at her house,” Kravitz said during the show in January. “My mom lives in Topanga Canyon, so I said, ‘No, that’s a dangerous place to be. Come here.’ And my mom has a pet snake, and so she has her evacuation stuff; she came over with the snake. We ended up having to stay there for maybe about two weeks, and Taylor has this very beautiful house. I think it’s from the ’30s, like it’s a beautiful house, something you want to preserve and take care of.”
The problem arose on Kravitz’s last day at the house when Orpheus found a small hole in the upstairs bathroom. Kravitz described panicking as the snake began to slip further into the hole.
On Kravitz’s last day at Taylor Swift’s house, the situation with Orpheus escalated as the snake began slipping into a small hole in the upstairs bathroom. To retrieve it, Kravitz and her mother ended up significantly damaging part of the bathroom. Eventually, Swift’s house manager intervened and dismantled a section of a built-in banquette to safely remove the snake.
Kravitz offered to pay for the repairs and kept the incident quiet until the bathroom was fixed. She later told Swift, who responded with humor.
Swift recently announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, though no release date has been set.
About Taylor Swift’s LA residence
While specific details about the house's location and design are not publicly disclosed, it is described as a beautiful, preserved home dating back to the 1930s, reflecting Swift's appreciation for historic architecture.
