Zawe Ashton 'doing pregnancy her way'. Here's what actor has to say

English actor Zawe Ashton showed her baby bump for the first time on June 29 at the premiere of her new movie "Mr. Malcom's List". The pregnancy news became public only a couple of weeks after Tom Hiddlestone, her future co-parent and fiancé, announced that the two actors got engaged a few months back in March.

The 38-year-old actor spoke about how she wanted to keep her private life private, which was difficult due to her baby bump on Mr. Malcolm's List's press tour.




She said nobody would want to go on a tour with the press if they wanted to keep their private life separate when pregnant, but it was her professional obligation. She spoke about the experience of having to arrive as a pregnant lady in New York just as the court overturned the iconic ruling of Roe v Wade.

The actress feels it is a significant time to make movies on pregnancies and show stories regarding pregnancies and for people to recognize them.

Ashton and Hiddlestone have been a couple since their roles as husband and wife in "Betrayal." They made their debut on the red carpet in New York during the Tony Awards in September 2021.
