With Spiderman: No Way Home raking in the money, as well as rave reviews, Marvel’s December is going incredibly well. With Hawkeye’s TV show also doing well, the MCU enters 2022 on a high, here’s what they have lined up for next year.

Kicking off from the events of Spiderman, the second Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) movie is set to feature Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) as they grapple with the side effects of opening up the multiverse. Scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.

Following the death of Chadwick Boseman, Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed that the role of T’Challa won’t be recast, which leaves Ryan Coogler’s second movie with a lot of story to fill in. Set for release on November 11, 2022

Conceptualised to slot in between the second and third Guardians of the Galaxy movies, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is set to premiere in December 2022.

Oscar Issac’s second time in a Marvel setting is set for a Disney+ release, with May Calamawy and Ethan Hawke co-starring. The show is set for release in mid-2022.

Likely to be Mark Ruffalo’s last turn as the Hulk, the show features Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters - Bruce Banner’s cousin in the comics - a lawyer whose field involves superhero-related cases. Currently in post-production.

The Skrulls return (last seen in Captain Marvel), as does Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury to bring Marvel’s iconic comic book storyline in a six-episode series set for a 2022 release on Disney+.

Marvel’s first Muslim lead character gets her own Disney Plus show, with newcomer Iman Vellani in the title role. Mohan Kapur, Rish Shah and Matt Lintz co-star; currently in post-production, it is set for release in summer 2022.
