Governor Tony Evers has invited schoolchildren statewide to join in the holiday cheer by crafting ornaments for this year's State Capitol Holiday Tree.

Governor Evers tweeted, "Help us decorate the 2023 Capitol Holiday Tree with ornaments celebrating the 175 years of dreamers, creators, innovators, leaders, and hardworking folks that made us the state we are today!"

The theme not only commemorates the state's 175 years of existence but also pays tribute to the diverse array of Wisconsinites who have played pivotal roles in shaping its identity.

On Nov 7, he unveiled the theme for this year's Capitol Holiday Tree as '175 Years of Wisconsinites.'

Although the theme is decided, Wisconsinites will have to wait until the day before Thanksgiving for the tree to be erected in the State Capitol.
