'Your Christmas or Mine 2' first look out; Amazon Prime Video backs holiday film's sequel

"Your Christmas or Mine 2" is happening. The sequel to the popular British holiday film has been backed by Amazon Prime Video. Fans will be glad to know that the film’s lead stars, Asa Butterfield (as James) and Cora Kirk (as Hayley) will be back in part 2.

Apart from the lead stars Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk, the other cast members returning are Alex Jennings, Daniel Mays, David Bradley, Angela Griffin and Natalie Gumede. American actor Jane Krakowski of 30 Rock fame will join the cast for the sequel.

What will Your Christmas or Mine 2 be about?

James’ dad invites Hayley’s family to spend Christmas in a ski resort in the Alps, to introduce his new American girlfriend (played by Jane Krakowski).

Hayley’s dad insists on taking care of his family’s bookings. But the transport gets mixed up at the airport, and the two families end up at each other’s accommodations on completely different sides of the mountains.

This may make or break James and Hayley’s relationship.

Your Christmas Or Mine 2 is produced by Mighty Pebble Pictures and The Story Collective, and directed by Jim O’Hanlon. The director is very excited about “returning to the world of Your Christmas or Mine?” he said in a statement.

“I always felt that James and Hayley’s story was ripe for further development, and writer Tom Parry has crafted another fantastic, funny, festive feast for viewers, as our favorite star-crossed lovers head for the ski slopes of Tyrol,” he said.

He added that there are some additions to our “already incredibly talented cast, so I think we’re in for another unforgettable Christmas”.

He added that the first film was received warmly and “it’s wonderful to be working alongside Mighty Pebble Pictures to bring them the second (installment)”.
