Young Royals Season 2: Release date, cast, and more

Netflix ordered season 2 in September 2021 and declared it would be released in 2022. On July 1, Netflix announced on its official Twitter page that the second season would be coming to the platform sometime around November 2022. And then Netflix announced on September 30 that the second season of the Young Royals would premiere on November 1. This teen series adds to a full lineup for Netflix that includes shows like Manifest, Dead to Me, Wednesday, and more.

Although Netflix hasn’t yet announced the complete casting for season 2, we know that Wilhelm and Simon will appear again, played by Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg, respectively. The main characters are expected to return for season 2; other cast members include August of Rnäs (Malte Gardinger), Sara Eriksson (Frida Argenton), and Felice Ehrencrona (Nikita Uggla).





The second season started filming in February 2022, as announced earlier in a promotional video with the series leads. On May 11, Netflix ‘tweeted’ that filming of the new episodes had officially finished. Netflix released four photos from the shoot and a four-minute preview of the first episode of the new season of Young Royals.
