Yellowstone: Know major controversies of cast members over the years
If you thought Yellowstone had all the drama and scandal on the show, wait till you hear the off-screen controversies of the cast.

However, Yellowstone is not free of controversy, especially behind-the-scenes.
Here’s a look at some of the major problems faced by Yellowstone, including cast members’ behavior on other shows, and even their heritage.
1. Actor Luke Grimes reportedly walked away from True Blood, before he did Yellowstone, because he didn’t want to play a bisexual character. Grimes' publicist denied it.
2. Q'orianka Kilcher was charged with two counts of felony of workers' compensation insurance fraud in 2022. She was accused of breaking state law by collecting $96,838 in disability benefits for a neck and shoulder injury while shooting. The charges have been dropped.
3. Kelsey Asbille's casting caused controversy as people questioned her Native American heritage. She had starred as a Native American in the 2017 film Wind River as well, but when she got the role of Native American Monica Dutton in Yellowstone, questions about her heritage were raised. The New York Times said she was "Taiwanese, British and Eastern Band Cherokee”, on which Asbille has not commented.
5. The behind-the-scenes feud between lead actor Kevin Costner and creator Taylor Sheridan is well known. And soon enough, in May 2023, the end of Yellowstone was announced. It came at the same time that Costner is going through a divorce, allegedly because he wasn’t able to give time at home.
