The clutch hit came after Aaron Judge tied the game in the ninth with a towering solo home run, spoiling an otherwise dominant outing by Red Sox starter Garrett Crochet.
Ceddanne Rafaela also contributed with an RBI, as Boston claimed its third consecutive win over its archrivals. The loss snapped a three-game win streak for the Yankees, who had swept Kansas City earlier in the week.
In the 10th, Jarren Duran grounded out to move automatic runner David Hamilton to third. After Rafael Devers drew a walk and a strikeout followed, Narvaez stepped in and lined the game-winner off reliever Tim Hill (3-2).
Garrett Whitlock (5-0) worked a scoreless 10th to earn the win, preserving a stellar effort by Crochet. The left-hander went a career-best 8 1/3 innings, allowing just four hits and striking out seven — three of those coming against Judge in their first three matchups.
