X chief Elon Musk warns Anti-Defamation League of legal action, blames it for losing advertisement revenue

Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion. He suffered losses in advertisement revenue. Blaming the international Jewish non-government organization Anti-Defamation League for the losses, he has threatened to sue it.

Elon Musk, the owner of social media platform X, has warned Anti- Defamation League of suing it for $22 billion. The richest man in the world has accused the Jewish Non-Government Organization of chasing away the advertisers by accusing him of being anti-Semitic. He said that the organization is trying to shut down the social media platform by wrongly accusing him.


Elon Musk Warns Anti-Defamation League


He said, “To clear our platform’s name on the matter of anti-Semitism, it looks like we have no choice but to file a defamation lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League … oh the irony!”


Elon Musk bought the social media platform Twitter for $44 million, but he has lost a sizeable chunk of advertisement after the acquisition. He said that the Anti-Defamation League is responsible for his revenue loss. He wrote on X, “Based on what we’ve heard from advertisers, ADL seems to be responsible for most of our revenue loss.”


ADL Slams Elon Musk


Earlier the ADL slammed Elon Musk for not cracking down on hate speech since taking over the site. Before this, ADL Director Jonathan Greenblatt met X CEO Linda Yaccarino and discussed the continued violation of the site’s conduct policies.

Meanwhile, Musk tried to explain that he is not an antisemitic and tweeted, “To be super clear, I’m pro-free speech, but against antisemitism of any kind.”


ADL Reacts to Elon Musk’s warning


Replying to the warning Elon Musk, an ADL spokesperson said that such a warning is not new. He said, “The ADL is unsurprised yet undeterred that anti-Semites, white supremacists, conspiracy theorists, and other trolls have launched a coordinated attack on our organization. This type of thing is nothing new.”
