WWE SmackDown October 2, 2026: Start time, match card, how to watch and everything you need to know

WWE SmackDown heads to Denver tonight with Money in the Bank spots on the line. The October 2 episode from Ball Arena features the final men's and women's qualifying matches for the 2026 Money in the Bank Ladder Matches. Cody Rhodes is also back in the mix, with a chance to move closer to the WWE Championship picture. The information is taken from The Takedown.

The announced lineup includes three matches, with several major WWE names also advertised for the show.

What time is WWE SmackDown tonight?

Friday Night SmackDown starts at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) on October 2.

The show will take place at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, with the USA Network carrying the broadcast in the United States.

The show comes as WWE moves closer to Money in the Bank, which is scheduled for October 10.

Which matches are on the SmackDown card?

The biggest match of the night could be the men's Money in the Bank qualifier.

Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens vs. Johnny Gargano will decide the final spot in the men's ladder match. Rhodes has been trying to work his way back toward the WWE Championship, but he has two serious obstacles standing across the ring tonight.

The men's Money in the Bank field already includes CM Punk, Bron Breakker, Penta, Je'Von Evans and United States Champion Trick Williams.

The women's final qualifying match will see Tiffany Stratton vs. Tatum Paxley vs. Candice LeRae.

Stratton is a former WWE Women's Champion, while Paxley is looking to earn her place in the October 10 ladder match. LeRae is also chasing the final women's spot.

The third announced match is Blake Monroe vs. Giulia.

After another backstage confrontation between Monroe and Giulia, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis ordered the two to settle their issues in the ring. Monroe is now expected to make her in-ring SmackDown debut.

Who else is advertised for SmackDown?

WWE Champion Sami Zayn, CM Punk, Gunther, Jade Cargill and Trick Williams are also advertised for the show.

For Rhodes, the night offers another opportunity to get back into the WWE Championship conversation. His focus, however, has to be on Owens and Gargano first.

The final qualifying matches will complete the men's and women's Money in the Bank fields ahead of the October 10 event in New Orleans.
