Seth Rollins reveals reason behind faking knee injury on WWE Raw
Seth Rollins confessed his knee injury was a calculated deception, 'The Ruse of the Century,' fooling rivals and fans alike. He maintained the act for weeks, even deceiving WWE's medical staff, with only Becky Lynch and Paul Heyman in on the plan....

The ruse, which he dubbed 'The Ruse of the Century', began three weeks earlier at Saturday Night’s Main Event following his match with LA Knight.

Rollins kept the act going for weeks, hobbling around on crutches in public and even lying during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show. According to Rollins, only two people knew the truth - his wife, Becky Lynch, and his confidant, Paul Heyman. Not even WWE’s medical staff was informed, adding authenticity to the elaborate charade.
The payoff came at SummerSlam, when Rollins shocked the WWE Universe by dropping his crutches and ambushing CM Punk moments after Punk defeated Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins attacked Punk and stole the title, completing his plan with perfect execution.
Rollins admitted the commitment to the lie was grueling. "I did everything-gym, preschool drop-offs, beach trips, dinners-all on crutches," he said. "Even my wife was frustrated. She had to lie to friends and family. My daughter thought it was just a fun game."
With the reveal now public, Rollins has added another chapter to his legacy-one filled with mind games, calculated risks, and a title heist that shocked the wrestling world.
