WWE NXT is gearing up for its final stop before NXT Heatwave 2025, as the August 19 episode will serve as the brand’s go-home show, broadcasting live from The Met Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With the premium live event just days away, several rivalries and storylines are expected to hit their peak.

Among the night’s highlights, TNA World Champion Trick Williams will square off against Je’Von Evans in a number-one-contender’s bout, with the winner earning a shot at Oba Femi’s NXT Championship this Sunday at Heatwave.

Another heated showdown will see Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura collide in a brutal street fight, while Jasper Troy goes one-on-one with Ricky Saints.

In a unique inter-promotional clash, NXT’s Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) will face off against TNA’s The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance). To add further intrigue, Masha Slamovich has been announced as the special guest referee by NXT General Manager Ava.

Elsewhere, tensions will escalate as Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe come face-to-face ahead of their grudge match at Heatwave. Their rivalry dates back to Evolution 2025, when Monroe shockingly betrayed Grace, costing her an opportunity at the NXT Women’s Championship.

Additionally, Ethan Page and Chelsea Green will attempt to negotiate peace with Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele, though given recent hostilities, whether such a treaty can be reached remains doubtful.

With big stakes and unfinished business, the stage is set for a dramatic night in Philadelphia.
