WWE Hall of Famer The Iron Sheik passes away at the age of 81
Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, aka The Iron Sheik is survived bh his 47-year-old wife Caryl and his children Tanya, Nikki Marissa and son-in-law Eddie along with his five grandchildren and two nephews.

It stated, “Today, we gather with heavy hearts to bid farewell to a true legend, a force of nature, and an iconic figure who left an incredible mark on the world of professional wrestling. It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of The Iron Sheik, but we also take solace in knowing that he departed this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy that will endure for generations to come."

Vaziri is survived by his 47-year-old wife Caryl and his children Tanya, Nikki, Marissa, and son-in-law Eddie along with his five grandchildren and two nephews. The Iron Sheik kickstarted his career in the ring in 1970s before debuting in WWF in 1979. He left the next year in 1980 and then returned in 1983. Then, he eventually won his one and only WWF Heavyweight Championship before he lost it to Hulk Hogan and triggered ‘Hulkamania’.
Then, at the first WrestleMania at Madison Square Garden, The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff won the WWF Tag Team Championship in 1985. He also won the Gimmick Battle Royal at WrestleMania 17 in 2001 after competing at WrestleMania II and III. The late WWE icon was inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and has also featured in WWE programming. He competed in his last match in 2007.
