Wrestler Jaysin Strife has died at the age of 37 following a "long" fight in terms of health. During his career, Strife worked with WWE and AEW.

Former WWE and AEW wrestler Jaysin Strife has died at the age of 37. Nathan Blodgett, popularly known as Jaysin Strife, passed away on December 29 after a "long" and "intense" health struggle. His brother Jason shared the news through a Facebook post.
Blodgett mentioned that Strife took his last breath on December 29, at 9:55 pm.

During his career, Strife worked for organisations like WWE and AEW.


Jason also stated that his brother's influence in and out of the ring has been felt by everybody, and the family is not indifferent to the affection displayed. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone for their prayers, nice words, and thoughts.

However, the cause of death is still unknown. His family has set up a GoFundMe to assist with the costs of his memorial service.

Phogat's dream of a medal in her first Olympics was cruelly cut short in 2016 when she hurt her ankle during her quarter-final bout against a Chinese opponent and left the mat in tears.

She has been training under Hungarian coach Woller Akos since 2018 and the partnership had worked wonders for her, said the Commonwealth and Asian Games champion.

"People won't understand from outside but earlier my game had technical flaws.

"I can see that now I'm smoother and display clean wrestling on the mat. I don't feel stuck on the match anymore. There is motion in my game."

As for motivation, Phogat said she never forgot her pain in Rio.

"...every time I go on the mat for a match, that injury motivates me," said the wrestler from Haryana.

"It was one of the lowest points of my career. There was a lot of negativity from within.

"But I was able to come out of it and in hindsight, it has helped me become mentally strong."

Strife began his professional wrestling career in 2004. Six years later, he formed Magnum Pro Wrestling while continuing to pursue his own in-ring career. In November, he competed in an edition of AEW Dark, where he lost to Powerhouse Hobbs. He competed on WWE's 205 Live against Akira Tozawa in 2018.

Strife said in August that he had been admitted to the hospital in July after suffering from leg and back discomfort. He added that after being admitted and conducting a number of tests, he discovered that he had a number of infections and severely advanced vasculitis.

He stated that surgery would be performed to defuse the aneurysm that is his body's "ticking time bomb" since his inflammation has advanced to a very hazardous level.
