World Stroke Day is commemorated on October 29 to promote awareness about health risks and high rates, of serious health issues. Stroke is a condition when the blood supply to the brain is disrupted, oxygen starvation, loss of function, and brain damage can occur.

A clot most often causes it in a blood-supplying artery. Hemorrhage can also cause it. It is when a blood vessel bursts and blood leaks into the brain.

Causes of Heat-stroke

Heavy use of alcohol can cause your blood pressure and triglyceride levels to rise, leading to atherosclerosis. A plaque build-up in a person's arteries leads to blood vessels narrowing. You must drink in moderation if possible, and you should not take more than one drink a day if you are a woman and not more than two a day for men.

Risks for heat stroke also increase with reduced exercise or activity. It would help if you regularly exercised to stay healthy.

Using tobacco can increase stroke chances because it damages the heart and blood vessels. It also increases blood pressure.

On the other hand, a diet high in cholesterol, trans fats, salt, and saturated fats can increase stroke chances. You can keep the chances of a stroke to a minimum by limiting alcohol consumption, keeping your weight in check, and quitting smoking.
