What is Wordle?

Wordle is an internet-based word puzzle created by Josh Wardle, an American-Welsh software engineer. The game requires you to find a five-letter word for the day. Wordle has no ads or sign-in requests, unlike other word games on the internet. Wordle has been a tremendous success and a huge inspiration for other similar games like Quordle, Heardle, and Nerdle. Josh Wardle, who had created the game for his wife during the pandemic, sold it to The New York Times for an undisclosed figure.

How to Play Wordle?

Wordle is a simple word puzzle. Log on to the NYT Wordle page. You'll find a grid of six five-block slots, where you need to enter the correct five-letter word to win the game. Type your first guess, and if it has letters from the correct word, it’ll get highlighted in yellow. Letters in the correct position are highlighted in green. You get six tries to guess correctly, or you lose the game. And unlike other data-hungry games, you can play Wordle only once each day.
