An excellent game for all aspiring lexophiles is here, and Wordle #479 stands out. Josh Wardle and Palak Shah created this game to kill time amid the COVID-19 lockdown.

The game "what's the good word?" has existed for decades. The ingenuity lies in the methodology adopted for this game; for that, Josh Wardle needs to be thanked. He created a quiz game Wordle for five-letter English words.

Those who are avid readers can quickly get the word in the six tries allotted in the game. Then the letters are highlighted so people can play on their computers and android phones differentiating the game from the older version. Also, the internet allows the winners to demonstrate their wins on social media.


A letter highlighted in GREEN is good; you must guess the following. A BLACK/GREY highlight denotes that the letter is not a part of the winning word. A letter highlighted in YELLOW means it is not placed correctly, so do place it immediately, and it gets a green highlight.
