Women's March Madness 2025: Complete schedule, March 19 matches, predictions and more

March Madness is all set to kickstart with women's college basketball on Wednesday, March 19, with two First Four games lined up.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has issued the official and printable NCAA bracket for this year's Division I women's basketball tournament on its official website, with selections announced earlier on Sunday.

Games start with the First Four on Wednesday, while the tournament will go on through the Final Four, scheduled for April 4 and 6.

Women's March Madness: First Four games

On Wednesday night, No. 11 seeds Iowa State and Princeton will contest against each other. The match kicks off at 7 PM ET and will be played at Purcell Pavilion in South Bend, Indiana.

Fans can catch all the live updates on ESPNU as well as stream on ESPN App, ESPN+ and Fubo, USA Today reported.

Following this, No. 16 seeds UC San Diego and Southern will take on each other at the Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. The game starts at 9 PM ET.

Iowa State Cyclones were among the top 10 during pre-season, but have struggled a lot within the last four months. The side has a 22-11 record, with a major highlight in the team being its frontcourt player Audi Crooks.

The team that wins the contest between Iowa State and Princeton will be pitted against No. 6 seed Michigan on Friday. On the same day, the winner between UC San Diego and Southern will advance in the tournament to contest UCLA, the No. 1 overall seed.

March Madness 2025: Predictions

Many have given a slight edge to UC San Diego over Southern, with USA Today predicting a 59-56 score.

In the other game, Iowa State is predicted to be a clear winner over Princeton, with an expected score of 72-64.

As per the official NCAA schedule, the remaining two matches of First Four will be played on Thursday, with the first contest between No. 11 seeds Columbia and Washinton at 7 PM ET, followed by No. 16 seeds High Point and William & Mary at 9 PM ET.
