Plot

In The Mirror and the Light, Thomas Cromwell finds himself facing new political struggles. Set in 1535, Cromwell navigates the aftermath of Anne Boleyn’s execution. Henry VIII has a new queen, Jane Seymour, but the court remains fraught with conspiracies. Cromwell’s position grows more precarious as his power rises, yet he is surrounded by both allies and enemies.

Cromwell is aware of the dangers. His loyalty and resourcefulness make him invaluable, but they also attract hostility. His bond with the king’s inner circle is fragile, and the stakes for survival are high.

The final season features a returning cast, including Damian Lewis as Henry VIII and Mark Rylance as Cromwell. Other familiar faces include Kate Phillips as Jane Seymour and Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Rafe Sadler. New characters join the story, including Timothy Spall and Harry Melling.
