For 13 years, James Cameron hasn't helmed a motion picture. The 2009 film Avatar continues to rule the global box office today; it is the highest-grossing movie of all time and is unlikely to ever be dethroned entirely.

The fact that Cameron hasn't utilised his ability for anything else is the greatest tragedy of his investment in Avatar, not the films themselves, despite being immensely adored, many love to dislike Avatar.

Not to be overlooked are the films Cameron has helmed, including True Lies, The Abyss, The Terminator, and also Terminator 2. Unfortunately, please don't get too excited about anything else anytime soon because he's already thinking beyond Avatar 2 and the known sequels.

Following the release of Avatar 2, Cameron discussed his extensive ambitions for the franchise in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The release of Avatar 4 and 5 is uncertain, but he has already begun developing the sixth and seventh installments, assuming that fans will demand them.

According to James Cameron, he will be 89 by then. He remarked that the amount of energy needed to develop Avatar movies would obviously prevent him from doing so indefinitely. According to him, no matter how intelligent a director you are, you don't know how to accomplish this, so he would have to teach someone.

As per the publication, Cameron believes he might have five or six more movies in him and that three of them would probably be Avatar flicks. Cameron does not desire to adapt the Avatar universe for television, despite some people's suggestions.

The issue with some of the characters, according to him, is that they need so much money and labour to produce that they are not really suitable for television. He believes that he will come back in 10 years with lots of deep learning from machines. Over time, he has plans to integrate it into his pipeline. He said that a TV schedule might be possible, but he is not really interested in it right now.
