After a statement released by the University of Wisconsin–Madison athletic department, the police have launched a probe into a case concerning some private photo leaks of the university's women's volleyball team.
Some private photos of the women's volleyball team, Wisconsin Badgers were being circulated online and police have launched an investigation into "multiple crimes" involved in the matter, according to the statement by the university. The university said that the people in the photos never intended to share them, and the online circulation took place without consent. As a result, police are looking into the situation.

Following inquiries from student-athletes over the images and videos, the athletics department confirmed late Wednesday that the UW-Madison Police Department is looking into the matter.

In one of the photos, the squad members are seen posing topless after winning the Big Ten championship in November 2021, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports, citing a source.
