Seven-times Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic will take on Australian Jordan Thompson on the third day of the tournament. He has returned to the Center Court to equalize Roger Federer’s record of winning Wimbledon men’s singles eight times, but the Australian is considered the biggest stumbling block in his way.

Women’s number one Iga Swiatek will meet Sarah Sorribes Tormo of Spain on this day while Russian Daria Kasatkina will play against Jodie Burrage of the UK. Another British woman Heather Watson will meet Barbora Krejcikova on court number one the same day. As the unexpected rain washed away major parts of the matches on day two of the tournament, many more dramas and ups and downs are expected on Wednesday.

All England Club authorities have made all the necessary preparations, the ground has been checked, the grounds have been prepped up and the spectators are coming in a huge number. On the No. 1 court Daniil Medvedev will take on Arthur Ferry, and Jannik Sinner will meet Diego Schwartzman.


Andy Murray too won his first game on the second day of the tournament in the presence of his old foe Roger Federer and the Princess of Wales.



Carlos Alcaraz won his opening match on day two of the tournament on Court No. 1. H cruised through Ryan Peniston. Cameron Norrie defeated Tomas Machac 6-3, 4-,6 6-1, 6-4, and was happy to finish his match before the rain began. Dan Evans crashed out in the first match and has decided to keep out of tennis for some time to come.
