Williams F1 secures record-breaking title sponsorship deal with Atlassian — biggest in team’s history

Williams Formula 1’s sponsorship deal with Atlassian comes just ahead of the 2025 car launch on Friday and the F175 livery reveal at London’s O2 Arena next week.

The Williams F1 team announced a long-term title sponsorship deal with Australian tech firm Atlassian on Tuesday. The partnership aims to accelerate Williams’ progress on the grid.

Described as the largest deal in the team’s 48-year history, Williams did not disclose the financial details of the agreement.

Bringing the team back to the front of the grid

“I am delighted to welcome Atlassian into Formula 1 and our evolution into Atlassian Williams Racing,” said Williams team principal James Vowles, and added that securing a title partnership of this scale and importance was a landmark moment in the team’s history and a significant step forward in its comeback journey.


Williams F1 is focused on bringing the team back to the front of the grid. They believe Atlassian, with its technology and tools, will help improve teamwork and collaboration across the organisation.

Previous title partners

Williams has a strong history of title sponsors, with Atlassian becoming the first since Dorilton Capital bought the team five years ago.

Previous title partners include AT&T, Martini and ROKiT. Atlassian CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes is excited to be the newest name linked with the nine-time F1 constructors’ champions.

James Vowles on Formula 1

Vowles stated that Formula 1 is the ultimate team sport, where engineers, developers, commercial teams, pit crews and many others work together in real-time at incredible speeds to race for a podium finish.

Vowles stated that Atlassian shares Williams' strong belief in the power of teamwork, knowing that with the right tools and practices, great teams can achieve what would be impossible alone.

He added that as one of the first global technology companies from Australia, Atlassian understands the passion, drive and belief required to build something great.
