While no details have been confirmed, it is rumoured that Tom Cruise may showcase the latest instalment of the Mission: Impossible franchise at Cannes. Variety reported that since the movie is releasing in the second week of the film festival, there are chances that Paramount could screen it at the prestigious film festival.

Cruise may be looking to repeat history with his Mission: Impossible franchise at Cannes. The film is supposed to be his final appearance as the spy Ethan Hunt. Before the release of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, the actor had earlier stated that he wanted to keep playing Ethan Hunt till he was in his 80s, The Hollywood Reporter stated.

The promo ends with the agent asking someone to trust him “one last time”.
