After the animated adventure 'Kung Fu Panda 4' topped the domestic box office and grossed $58.3 million in its opening weekend, UniversalDreamWork is planning to make the next film of the franchise. As the film overtook 2016’s 'Kung Fu Panda 3' ($41 million) and 2011’s 'Kung Fu Panda 2' ($47.6 million), the makers of the animated film were tempted to come out with the next film. Talking to 'Variety', 'Kung Fu Panda 4' co-director Stephanie Ma-Stine said it is not the end of Po’s story. He also asked to look forward to more.

Will Po feature in 'Kung Fu Panda 5'?

Po has never been a typical Dragon Warrior, it does not have a similar path of growth and self-discovery in future movies and this is enough to begin with the next film. According to 'Screenrant', Kung Fu Panda 5 will once again feature Po as it is its titular character as well as the centerpiece of the world.
