Meanwhile workers of these aforementioned sectors are even planning on a rally to the Capitol on December 11, according to a USA Today report, in order to seek for the fast-tracking of the Social Security Fairness bill, and introduce and implement the bill at the earliest.

According to reports, the WEP and GPO provisions lower Social Security benefits for public sector workers, and therefore, the Fairness-related bill may help them in the longer run, and establish their rights and secure their future. Many teachers are even claiming that it is 'shameful' that such a widely supported measure needs to be urged to be put forward for a vote, with lives of dozens of public sector workers in the line.
