Ascension Parish schools to stay shut

For January 21, it was decided by the authorities that Ascension Parish schools will stay closed due to the extreme winter weather and will have asynchronous virtual learning on this day instead.

Meanwhile, Assumption Parish schools will also remain shut due to the potential for extreme cold weather. According to reports, all schools and offices in the Assumption Parish School District will be closed on the day.


Southern University campuses will be staying closed

According to reports, Southern University Baton Rouge landmass will also be closed. Meanwhile, classes and offices will shift to remote operations for the comfort of the students.

Meanwhile, All EBR Schools also be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, along with the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, January 20.
