Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets US Vice President Kamala Harris
How will the US-Israel relations move forward if Democrat Kamala Harris is elected president? What will be her approach to the ongoing Israel- Gaza War if it is stretched to the time she takes over? Will Kamala Harris increase financial aid and supply more weapons to the Jewish state in its fight against Hamas, which has been banned as a terrorist organization by the US? These questions are looming large over Washington as well as Tel Aviv.

NSA John Bolton warns Benjamin Netanyahu

Talking to CNN Friday, former National Security Adviser John Bolton said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should be concerned about the Vice President's behavior after their meeting Thursday. Netanyahu met Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democrat contender Harris besides meeting President Joe Biden and addressing a joint session of the Congress.

Bolton: Kamala Harris was icy

Bolton said that Harris was very icy in her demeanor, she showed strong discipline there, and her words were a clear signal. He told the news outlet that Harry Truman should be turning in his grave as the Democratic Party’s very special relationship with Israel had disappeared. He added that a Harris administration would be completely different in U.S.-Israeli relations.

Kamala Harris: Time for a cease-fire

In a meeting with the prime minister of the Jewish state, Kamala Harris said it was time for a cease-fire. She also expressed her “serious concern” about the Israeli offensive' impact on Gaza and Palestinian civilians. This meeting was the first indication of her foreign policy stance since Joe Biden pulled out of the race for the White House and endorsed her.

NSA Bolton warned that Tel Aviv may come under pressure to end the offensive from both of the contenders. Though Donald Trump is a fierce proponent of Israel, he may not want the country involved in the conflict.
