Will Hollywood actors join writers’ strike?
Will the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) extend and strike a deal?

What will happen if the actors also join the strike? Which television series and films will be delayed unexpectedly? This is a serious question because many series have been completed and only a few patchworks here and there are required. So what will happen to those television series and movies?
As a fallout of the WGA strike, Disney has delayed the release of many films like ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ and ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty’. Thunderbolt could not be completed due to the strike, and now it is not expected to hit the screens before the fourth quarter of 2024. Similarly, ‘Dreadpool’ was near its completion and now it can be released only in May 2024. The release of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ has been postponed to July 2024.
The shooting of most of the scripted television series has been shelved due to the writers’ strike. Robert De Niro’s ‘Zero Day’, ‘The Old Man’, ‘Severance’ and J.J. Abrams’ ‘Duster’, ‘The Penguin’, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, ‘Billions’, have been stopped. Besides, the writing of ‘Abbott Elementary’, ‘Yellowjackets’, ‘Stranger Thing' and ‘Cobra Kai’ has been halted. Apple’s ‘Metropolis’, from Sam Esmail has been closed down completely.
Some of the television series are being filmed out of the U.S., particularly in Europe. If the actors join the strikes, these series too would suffer. Some of the series that may have to face the consequences of the strike include ‘House of the Dragon’, ‘Andor’, ‘Slow Horses’ and ‘Industry’, Kate Winslet's drama ‘The Palace’, ‘Mary & George’ and ‘Day of the Jackal’. .
