Based on the 2003 Broadway musical, 'Wicked' movie describes how Elphaba, a bright student at Shiz University, becomes the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. This also explains her relationship with Galinda, called Glinda the Good in the 1939 classic film. The Wicked adaptation's cast includes Broadway star Cynthia Erivo, who has won a Grammy, Emmy, and Tony, as Elphaba.

According to 'Collider', a new poster has been released teasing the 'Wicked's two leads sharing a magical touch. It was released on the Super Bowl featuring Dorothy, Toto, and the rest of the gang visiting the Wizard in his Oz palace. After years of a complicated development process, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are set to dazzle on the big screen. Wicked narrates the story of the witches of Oz, Erivo as Elphaba is shown covered in green from head to toe and clad in black with a pointy hat. Grande's Glinda is dressed in pink and ornamental, with sparks flying.
