Why is Kelli Giddish quitting 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'?
Law & Order Special Victims Unit (SVU) actress Kelli Giddish revealed to fans that she would leave the famous crime drama after season 24.

"I've been a member of the Law & Order family for the past 12 years. Rollins is unlike any other character on television. She has matured and evolved, as have I. I began working on this program in my late twenties and am fortunate to have spent so much of my adult life with Rollins."
Why did she leave the show?
It was claimed earlier this year that the star's departure was not her decision, nor was it made by director David Graziano. Variety reports that Kelli's resignation was "initiated from above" to keep the program as contemporary as possible. David, who joined the program for the latest series after former showrunner Warren Leight left, replied to the revelation after fans aggressively tagged him in social media comments."All I'll say is Kelli has carried this with the most amazingly elegant comportment," he commented on Kelli's Instagram post. "She one of the most talented industry professionals I've met. Her impending departure makes me sad. If I have the opportunity to write for her again, it'll be my fortunate day."
