Kanye West is selling his Malibu residence for $53 million after unsuccessful attempts to transform it into a 'bomb shelter.' The 46-year-old rapper purchased the beachfront property for $57 million a few years ago and has enlisted Selling Sunset realtor Jason Oppenheim, 46, to handle the sale. Despite the property's generous 4,000 square feet, Kanye's renovations have rendered it devoid of windows or electricity.

Kanye is currently renovating the property embroiled in a legal dispute. He collaborated with renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando. The ex-manager, Tony Saxon, alleges wrongful termination, stating he was fired for raising safety concerns during the remodel.

In September, reports surfaced that Kanye aimed to transform the house into a '1910s bomb shelter' by removing windows and electricity, as per TMZ.

According to Saxon's lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, he was hired for the project in September 2021, working grueling 16-hour days at the beach house.

Saxon claims he served as the 'project manager, caretaker, and 24/7 security,' sleeping on the floor, but West allegedly paid him for only one week and disregarded his concerns. He was ultimately fired in November 2021 for refusing to eliminate the home's windows and electricity.

The rapper suggested relocating sizable generators indoors, but Saxon expressed concerns about potential fire hazards. Allegedly, Kanye then issued a threat, stating Saxon would be deemed an 'enemy' if he didn't align with Kanye's vision.

When Saxon persisted in his disagreement, Kanye reportedly instructed him to 'get out,' as mentioned in the lawsuit. Saxon further asserts that the hip-hop mogul warned him, saying, “If you don't comply with my instructions, you won't work for me, we won't be friends, and you'll only see me on TV.”

In September 2021, West acquired a 4,000 square foot oceanfront property featuring expansive windows with a view of the sea.

He collaborated with Tadao and hired top contractors to manage the substantial remodeling project. However, by the following summer, renovations came to a stop, leaving the mansion gutted and windowless.

Subsequently, Ye faced repercussions for anti-Semitic outbursts, losing support from business partners and brands. West's Malibu neighbors informed TMZ that the mansion was abandoned and had been left untouched for several months.
