Why is it rumoured that Lil Tay is alive? Mystery around 14-YO rapper and her brother’s death deepens; know all about it
The Internet is abuzz with the news of the death of young rapper Lil Tay and her brother. The news has not been confirmed yet and there are contradictory statements attributed to the parents.

The family's statement from Lil Tay's Instagram handle announcing her death and also her brother’s passing, went viral. However, now another Instagram story has been put up on an account that allegedly belongs to Lil Tay’s mother, which says that her daughter is alive.
Not only that, there are other posts on Instagram supposedly from the siblings, claiming they are alive but that their parents want them dead due to some issues.
First, take a look at the statement from Lil Tay’s account by her parents:
Lil Tay’s aka Claire Hope was extremely popular for her videos on social media, with some people raising an objection for luxury-promoting clips by a young kid who often used cuss words or offensive language.
In her rap career, Lil Tay collaborated with rappers like Chief Keef and XXXTentacion.
In 2018, Lil Tay had disappeared from social media, and there were no updates for her, raising alarm bells for her safety and health. She later posted messages on Instagram that hinted she was mangled in family issues.
Reports said that her father Christopher Hope was exploiting his children and especially Lil Tay for financial gain.
The teenage rapper’s former manager, Henry Tsang, also did not confirm or deny the news. He told the US Sun that he had been in touch with people who knew the family’s situation.
The post read, “To be clear I am not dead. I don't have access anymore to the lil tay instagram account. My sister and I were winning our case. It was just a couple of days before we got it all back, all her social media and come out about the truth. Me and tay are not dead. We dont got access to the account. Our parents wants us gone off the internet but we will not go away. This is our new account (for now) They are spreading misinformation we are not dead. They’re the only one that got access to the account. Do not believe it. Our parents took everything and they abused tay, hard.”
“All we ask is to share this post to your story and follow this account. More updates in a couple hours. New update on my recent story.” Taking to Insta story, they posted, “I have decided to go live on Instagram as soon as we hit 25K. Everyone needs to hear the truth We are not dead,” the post added.

An unverified Instagram handle that belongs to Angela Tian, “the mother of Claire & Jason”, as it reads, has an Instagram story that says, “My daughter is well and alive!” with a picture of Lil Tay.
There are other posts by her, urging people to “Do your research” before believing anything posted online. She has used the hashtag #ReturnOfLilTay. Angela has also posted that she will be going live tomorrow to speak on the situation.
