Why is Deion Sanders facing possibility of getting his foot amputated? Know about his recurring health issue
Deion Sanders has been dealing with a health condition for a very long time and has reportedly gone through at least nine surgeries.

As per reports, ‘Prime Time’ is facing some problems in his left foot due to blood circulation problems which is due to the blood clots in the veins of the leg. It is causing blockage to a normal flow of blood around the leg. This condition is also known as Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).
DVT is a medical condition which is caused after a blood clot is developed within a deep vein, especially in parts such as the lower leg, thigh or pelvis. Sometimes, it can also develop in the arm.
At least three femoral arterial blood clots have been detected in Sanders. Moreover, the Dallas Cowboys icon has also developed compartment syndrome which causes elevated pressure in the leg, which also hindered his blood flow and led to swelling.
Having battled the health condition for a long time, Sanders also underwent at least nine surgeries in 2021. It also led to him losing two of his toes which made him skip three games when he was Jackson State Tigers’ head coach.
Opening up about his situation, Sanders recently told his medical team that he experiences a pain on the left foot while wearing shoes for a long period of time. After his medical team of professionals at University of Colorado did an ultrasound on him, the two-time Super Bowl winner was informed that in a bid to address the pain in his foot, he might face the possibility of getting a necessary amputation.
