The White House press secretary Karine Jean Pierre is under fire after she attempted to misguide the members of the press on Tuesday on the subject of an expert neurologist who is said to have examined President Biden’s health reports. When members of the press had questioned her if Dr Kevin Cannard had examined the health records of Biden, she had initially said that the visits were not connected to Biden. She was also seen scolding a journalist who sought answers on this important issue as many Democrats have raised concerns about Biden’s ‘cognitive decline’. This clarification by the press secretary came a few hours after she gave false information on the president’s health.

Attempts to misguide?

Dr Cannard has visited the White House eight times over a short period of time. During these visits, he regularly interacted with Dr Kevin O’Connor who is the regular physician of the president. During a press briefing on Tuesday, when questioned if Dr Cannard’s visits were connected with Biden’s health and more specifically if it involved a neurological examination, the press secretary had said that Biden had not undergone any specific neurological examination.

She went on to explain that there are other employees in the White House and they are serviced by a medical team. She specifically denied that Biden underwent a neurological examination.

Clarification:

The press secretary on Tuesday hours after her attempts to mislead the press, clarified that Dr Cannard’s interaction with Dr O’Connor on January 17 was related to the president’s neurological issues. After an extremely detailed neurological examination, there were no findings pertaining to Parkinson’s disease, stroke and other nerve related issue in Biden.

Is Biden suffering from Parkinson’s disease?

Many top neurologists who observed Joe Biden closely during the first presidential debate have called on the president to get a comprehensive neurological examination done at the earliest.
