An employee realizes that tasks that used to be done using their unique method must now be done in specific ways. The process is no longer based on individual methods but rather on templates, fixed procedures, and minimized variability. The initial assumption that this is an effort towards increased efficiency may be true, yet there could be other reasons underlying such an organizational change.
