Donald Trump was being poised for a massive win by the betting markets in the United States, and it looks like the bids have paid off well, with a Polymarket 'whale' recording a profit of a massive $47 million, according to latest reports.

Donald Trump winning the US elections is not just good news for the Republicans and his own campaign team, but also for the betting markets, who were bidding on his win even when top pollsters were claiming that the former US President may go down in the elections against Kamala Harris. Some Polymarket bidders bet millions on Trump, and even in the face of adversity, they did not call of their bets, and now after a thumping victory by Trump, it looks like these bets have earned bidders a lot of money.

Polymarket whale makes millions from Trump victory

According to a NY Post report, a Polymarket whale, who had bet millions on a Trump victory, managed to rake in a massive profit of $47 million. The anonymous bettor, who goes by Théo, bet though four separate accounts, that ended up making massive money upon betting on Trump, along with bids on the Republican candidates in swing states.

Billions spent on US elections at Polymarket?

Reports suggest that there was $3.7 billion spent on placing bets around the US presidential election, the most of which was spent on Trump, rather than Harris, something that had become an election indicator in the last month before the elections.

Many are questioning the motives behind placing such multi-million bets in the Presidential elections, but the account owner is claiming that these were just good bets, and no motive or intent was behind any of the actions.
