Will Novak Djokovic create history by winning his 24th Grand Slam tournament? Or will someone like Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, or Taylor Fritz come forward and succeed in stopping the ‘unstoppable’? Like cricket, tennis too is a game of uncertainties.

All eyes are set on All England Club in Wimbledon, England, where the world’s oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament, Wimbledon begins on July 3.

Djokovic will also be seeking his eighth men’s singles Wimbledon title to equal Roger Federer’s record. He is also on the way to winning the calendar Grand Slam when a player wins all four major tournaments in one calendar year. The Serb has already won the French Open and the Australian Open.

Other top contenders in the men’s category are Holger Rune and Sebastian Korda. One more important star is there- Andy Murray. He last won the Wimbledon title in 2016. He got injured and underwent hip surgery in 2019. He crashed out in the second-round last year, but later he won Surbiton and Nottingham titles recently.

Similarly, in the women’s category, Iga Swiatek will have to fight it out on a different surface in London to repeat her success story at the French Open. Aryana Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Karolina Muchova, and Petra Kvitova are other women in the category.
