The competition for the Treasury Secretary position in US President- elect Donald Trump's Cabinet is intensifying, while hedge fund manager Scott Bessent and Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick are eventually emerging as the top candidates, reported DailyBeast. Howard Lutnick, who co-chairs the transition team of Donald Trump, has reportedly irritated the US President- elect by overshadowing the transition efforts for personal gain in spite of a massive support from influential figures like Elon Musk and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

According to DailyBeast, Elon Musk eventually criticized Scott Bessent as a ‘business-as-usual’ choice while advocating for Howard Lutnick as a transformative leader who would implement significant changes specifically in policies of cryptocurrency.
